Description
This is a pencil-drawn illustration of traditional Chinese exteriors, not usually advertised in history and culture books due to the highly speculative nature of what homes actually looked like back then. Through bits and pieces of information (tools, furniture, building materials, etc.), however, it is possible to reconstruct a living space.
This illustration started out pathetic-looking, with the buildings looking kind of warped due to my interest in circular zooms through a city or town or what-have-you... But I cleaned it up and made it look nice, and then the background I just kind of scribbled in without too much notice because I added enough details so it wouldn't be too noticable... which might have worked out for the best since it creates what we visual artists call "aerial diffusion."

Really cool, this is one my favorites. I think it because you chose to use the vertical length of the paper to show depth. "depth" not retarded... more than meets the ear... eye... what ever. Anyhow, the only water way'ed town I ever thought of was Venice... never thought of China, but its very cool...
